Well sorry guys but I'm not so excited with www.anycoffee.com

I am long ANYI and like www.anythingpc.com - simple, fast site and huge product database - I've used it and had our company use it too.

But www.anycoffee.com is lacking in design, product information, detailed, careful implementation and in overall concept.

I'm currently working on an online store and I can tell you that this sort of ecommerce can be purchased off the shelf for very little indeed. ($150/month for example).

Within 5 minutes on the site I found 4 typographical errors, I clicked on INFO 5 times and only twice found more information (and that was pretty skimpy info too....)

It doesn't look like they spent more than a couple of grand on a designer who is a generation behind (at least) in website design - and the whole thing lacks "stickyness" - no photos, no style, no java (excuse the pun), no FLASH, no graphics....

However what concerns me more is we didn't get any idea of a marketing plan - unless the email we all received as ANYI/BANY shareholders is the promotion...?!

This ain't Field of Dreams - who is going to come here and who is going to return? I mean, sure the site works but it doesn't even attempt to draw me in (except for the info from JavaJay - hey no photo Jay?!)

Don't get me wrong - I think the core idea is great - develop a whole series of www.anything stores and services - but careful implementation is lacking here and each individual service needs be visionary and dynamic as well as functional.
You don't need to spend $6 million to get a fantastic website - but $30,000 can take you a long way with a small website like this (and if this cost ANYI $30,000 then we have problems).

Tell Sitra this isn't good enough - BB stock or not - this is a two-bit piece of ecommerce that someone made over a few weekends.
