To All: I often receive emails from folks that lurk the MDA thread, that are not members of SI. Most often the email are complimentary of the many that post on this thread. However, on occasion we get one that should make us all stop and think...

Most of this week's posts were good. There was some "gloating", etc., which is to be expected. What makes the MDA thread so attractive is it has such good participation from so many different people - most of whom have their unique talent, so they are able to contribute in their unique way to benefit everyone. I appreciate the expertise everyone brings to your thread, and I wish for none to quit contributing. However, there have been a few posts recently, which reflect a rather mean spirited and condescending attitude (not to say that the makers of the comments are mean spirited & condescending people).
I did not want these remarks to go spoken without what I feel is an appropriate response. Responses which refer to inexperienced investors as "sheeple" or any other belittling label should be called what they are: condescending & mean spirited. Remarks of this nature are not acceptable. For all that we know, inexperienced investors are exactly that - inexperienced; nothing more, nothing less. I do not appreciate anyone who is more savvy or more experienced referring to those who are less experienced by some mean spirited label. If anyone thinks this of them, they are welcome to think of them as they choose - but I would rather they keep their thoughts to themselves, and not stink up the atmosphere, which the rest of us inhabit.
Again, I'm not after anyone, just want the environment to be clean for all of us to enjoy. Why not refer to those less experienced investors as "the average investor" or "less experienced investors".
Best wishes, and good trading to all. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX |
