I don't doubt that he was a nice guy. But he was not recognized by all who saw him because he was nice. His death was not turned into a media circus because he was nice. The President didn't personally authorize an extended search because he was nice. Thes things happened because in the eyes of many, he was "the American version of royalty". And for those who feel as I do about royalty, the willingness of so many Americans to buy into that myth is disturbing. I would rather fight back with sick jokes than with treatises; now I've done both, and will say no more on the subject. Unless provoked; you know how badly I resist provocation.
