I already spend a few hundred dollars on buying books
on line. So if I can get a "free" access with those
purchase, why do I not get it?

But if it reqires me to bug a few thousand dollars of goods
on line, then I won't do it.

It is still rumor and we don't know the details if there is such a plan from MSFT.
