I do not advocate moving Earth into orbit around Jupiter. I used that example as a bit of cathartic shock treatment on you. It seems to have worked a bit. Good. Anyway, do not be chained to your moribund views. You speak of the primitive knowledge we still are trapped within. 10,000 or 20,000 years from now they will look at this society as one not that far removed from stone knives and bearskins. Do not be so smug in your pronouncements in what is possible or impossible, you 20th Century savage!
If the human race is to survive it must leave its cradle (Earth). In the future, only people out of their minds will NOT want to leave Earth, if only for a vacation in the cosmos. Would you confine a growing child to a cradle or a playpen? Perhaps, for that is what you advocate for the human race. Your children's children may be Earthbound miscreants screaming at the sky when our sun goes nova, but I'm sure many others will have sought the safety of other star systems. And they will not even have consulted astrological charts, but astro-navigational charts instead.
