TI2 and Dale, seems some don't like the meager same store sales increase.

WATSONVILLE, Calif., Aug 5 (Reuters) - West Marine, Inc. said Thursday that net sales for the four weeks ended July 31, 1999 were $50.0 million, an increase of 8.1 percent from $46.2 million last year, while same-store sales increased 0.6 percent.

Total non-store sales increased 19.1 percent compared to the same four-week period a year ago.

Net sales for the thirty weeks ended July 31, 1999 were $320.4 million, an up 3.4 percent on a same-store sales basis.

Sales from the web site increased impressively...

Total non-store sales increased 19.1% compared to the same four-week period a year ago. Included in non-store revenues were Internet sales, which increased over 400% compared to the same period a year ago. The Company updated its website in early July 1999. Non-store businesses also consisted of sales through catalog and Port Supply, a wholesale division.
