SBUX
From yesterday's cat-calls: "SBUX is my Most Likely To Succeed today, though I wouldn't try it on anything less than 3m shares." Same again today, though ... Sheesh. New low's in, and at 1.2m by noon already, volume seems more likely to squeeze a purr out of this blood-trickler. Problem is, this thing's not acting ... right. It's got an "attitude" problem (sorry, Doug): bigcharts.com Those spike throw-downs to a new low on heavy volume--sixth day in a row today--are usually the anchor needed for the cat-vault: I'd GUESS those spikes are useful to intraday trades 60-70% of the time. But ... This one keeps throwing down spikes, then taking a 1% to 4% float up, then going cat-a-tonic, until the next spike. Patience, patience. Just sitting here at the mouse-hole, keeping a yellow-green slit-eye on it. Problem is, I hate Starbucks Stores: Coffee's overpriced, the pastries taste fake, and their "cool" atmospheres feel like some corporate attempt to merge Kurt Cobain with Warren Buffett. "A mosquit-t--t-to ... ...My portfolio!!! cry and fold 'em ... Buy and Hold 'Em!!!" Yeah-h-h-h-h-h ...
