<<RS/6000 is an AIX base server. IBM does not have any FC adapter or FC switches. The display from your link is strange. It led me to believe that RS/6000 can connect to FC switch also.>>
KJ, I couldn't stop thinking about IBM and FC. So today I've been working the web and the phone and have come up with a couple things.
here's the IBM FC products/pricing page: direct.boulder.ibm.com
here's a gift from someone in IBM sales I spoke with, I like the <<IBM INTERNAL USE ONLY>> stuff <g>. I was told that the switch has been available (as stated in the document) since March '96 and that it is not an OEM (or it would say so). I find all of this pretty baffling. KJ, All what do you make of this?
And I've still got IBM/Ancor on the brain. And I do enjoy FC sleuthing, I'm meeting Andy Grove for lunch tomorrow <g>
(it's long, and must be continued on next post...)
