Do those magnifying lenses concentrate most of the light? I can think of some they wouldn't, during transmission and such. I guess big telescope reflector mirrors might be the most reflective surfaces ~ do I recall that surfaces with the reflecting layer on the surface are pretty efficient, like 98-99? (Whereas mirrors suck.)
So, gee, I bet if they look at the moon with Palomar's 200 inch, it's pretty bright.
