Ignacio,
"Cracked porcelain exuding dewy contemplation"
A line I forgot to include in my previous post -- quite provocative and evocative. I almost blushed when I read it!!
Alas, I, also, have very little time to write any longer. I have a journal and I mean well but I never seem to be able to get to it. I have been working on my poetry for many years but I don't think I have anything worth posting here yet. However, I think you've given me the impetus to work on my pieces some more so that I can post sometime soon.
I love modern poetry -- beat and post-beat era. I also love classic poetry -- the greeks, Milton, Blake, Yeats, Keats, Browning. Some others of my favorites: Sylvia Plath, Edna St. Vincent Millay (!), John Donne, Adrienne Rich, Pablo Neruda, TS Eliot (!), ee cummings, Stephen Crane (! "... because it is bitter, and because it is my heart" -- how beautiful).
There's a poet whose name I can't remember right now, but he writes beautifully simple, lyric verse. He's a "modern" poet and the image that sticks in my mind is of a red wheelbarrow ... do you know who I'm referring to?
In any case, perhaps I'll post something soon ... probably on the poetry thread.
Thanks, again, Ignacio!
