Efficient Networks Joins Sprint in Delivering Comprehensive DSL Solutions

Sprint North Supply to Provide Efficient Networks' SpeedStream DSL Modems to North
American Network Operators

DALLAS and NEW CENTURY, Kan., Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- To further streamline the process of rolling out DSL
services, Efficient Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: EFNT - news) and Sprint North Supply today announced a collaboration to
deliver integrated ADSL solutions to service providers nationwide. Through this agreement, Sprint North Supply is now a
nationwide distribution channel and full-service integration company for Efficient Networks' SpeedStream family of DSL
customer premises equipment (CPE). The combination of Efficient's compatible and cost-effective DSL CPE with turnkey
integration services from Sprint North Supply enables service providers to rapidly deploy infrastructure and offer DSL services.

Through its relationship with Efficient Networks and leading central office equipment providers, Sprint North Supply offers
one-stop shopping for DSL service providers. Sprint North Supply provides services including network design, product
fulfillment, installation, configuration, testing, management and support. This full-service approach allows ILECs, CLECs and
RBOCs to easily expand their offerings using a cost-effective outsourcing strategy.

As part of the agreement, Sprint North Supply now offers Efficient's SpeedStream 3060 internal ADSL PCI modem and the
SpeedStream 4060, a Universal Serial Bus external ADSL modem. These SpeedStream products are certified compatible with
leading DSLAMs and multi-service access platforms, and are deployed in DSL networks worldwide.

The SpeedStream DSL products provide a simple installation procedure and pre-configuration capabilities, allowing service
providers to reduce installation times at the consumer residence or business. Advanced diagnostics within the CPE enable
service providers to quickly isolate and resolve network issues and maximize DSL service availability for their customers.
