I was speaking in the present tense only - you said
you would subscribe to ATHM:

"...only if it provides the same open internet access
that's provided by my current DSL account."

to which I replied: "They do".

In the present tense, I am correct. I was making no
claim or prediction about what ATHM may or may not do
in the future, so I'm not sure how I'm "wrong" but
feel free to think that.

As to my suggestion to read "more of" this thread,
please don't change my words - I didn't say "all or
even most" of the posts - I said "more of". Your question
apparently asking if ATHM currently offers open
access to the internet seemed to me to show a lack
of knowledge (it appears I misunderstood you) - and
that's all I had to go on - I don't know you.

I'm glad to hear there was a misunderstanding here,
since I strongly dislike it when people fail to do
their own research and actually work to understand
something before bothering others.

I agree 1000%, as my post from last night illustrates.
My feelings are: "Give me the most speed for the least
money and get out of my way"
