visalia & all: another note re the conference. just one more note of mention. the meeting was VERY BULLISH, but overly so in my opinion (as well as some other analysts). yes, there's growth later this year and 1997. but as for the Q2 and maybe Q3, things look FLAT. Intel admitted this too. please don't forget this. Intel specifically discussed only LONG TERM oriented subjects, and also dismissed cable modem concept (a la Zenith), in order to dance around near term not looking so hot. pretty much everyone else in the sector is going to be hurt in the next quarter or so -- INTC has done a very good job of trying to differentiate itself from the pack in this conference. but, while i'm still a long term holder for my personal account, i am definitely not a buyer here. granted, intel is a great company, amazing mkt share, great brand equity, but i don't believe they're as insulated as they claim to be. i still think it's a bit overdone. jiggy@inch.com
