Be sure to differentiate between "experienced" traders and "successful" traders as they're not necessarily the same and gravitate toward the latter. The comraderie at an office can be a positive but you need to trade your style and not get sucked into trades when another trader yells out "XYZ is moving". If you use TA, stick to it don't get caught up in another traders excitement or emotions.
