Sorry, Christopher. Our pronounciation is closer to that of Shakespeare's day than is "standard" upper class British pronunciation (especially of the Colonel Blimp variety). We brought the language here in order to preserve it, to protect it from British vandals. Nyah, nyah, Brit-lover!!
