td It's 1/2 ton, Z-71 with plenty of torque. I don't tow anything so I'm fine with the lighter duty automatic (460LE) If you tow, the 3/4 ton with the heavier duty trans (480LE) from all accounts is the way to go. Haven't found the need to weigh down the rear for traction. Very nice highway ride for a truck with the gas shocks.
