Maybe they will adopt a required browser interface in the future, but they are a pipe to me. Haven't seen an @Home or Excite page for months (except to see what Excite looks like relevant to other portals). I'd love it if they came up with content that fit my needs, but AOL didn't and no one has so I'm "out on the edge" with no one to look after me (boo hoo!). I know what I'm doing on the web, and don't need a gatekeeper. Most of the world of users is different. I think ATHM should have an AOL proprietary-type interface with access to value-added content for subscribers only, BUT only if paying users can also fairly easily circumvent this front page and go directly where they want. That is something AOL can't afford to do and could be a nice defining point when broadband is available to all content carriers. Dirk
