good day Jing...

i read this post and would like to offer the following :

there is a canadian financial / insurance stock that is considered a mini berkshire hathaway of sorts...i won't mention the name here, but will give it to you privately if you wish...the point is, the fellow who runs it has done amazing things with the stock and the company, and is considered to be a bright bright man...the stock started to slip a bit and there were shareholder concerns at the annual meeting...Many investors noted the company's track record but found the company complicated to analyze...but, the newbies kept on insisting the ceo is smart, very smart and he'll 'get things back on track'...

the stock fell 25-30 % this week on bad earnings...it is now down over half from its peak...now it has to rise 100 % b/4 newbies who bought at the top can even break even...

because of these occurrences, i no longer buy stock because 'so and so' is smart, 'so and so can turn it around' , or 'so and so knows what needs to be done'...i don't like relying on people to run companies...

instead i suggest companies with such strong franchises that even Barney Rubble couldn't screw them up...

i would sell this stock if i were you , but, hey all the best...

ike
