I have heard discussion of satellite feeds as a natural fit to speed up the internet on this board but this article is the first I have seen to discuss companies trying to make a busines out of "The nascent satellite-fed caching market": news.com Any data on this, or where Loral stands here? How about in relation to this excerpt: "In the meantime, other companies are devising plans to horn in on the nascent satellite-fed caching market. SoftNet Systems, owners of rural cable modem service ISP Channel, are considering using their Intellicom satellite unit to create an Internet caching business, according to executives. Tentatively code named "SkyPop," the service would compete with the likes of SkyCache, iBeam, Edgix, and others."
