It was my understanding that Kubota did not sell any of their stock.
They filled in preperation to sell but they never sold, according to what
I read on this board. Is that accurate or did my wild youth have some
effect on my memory?

I agree with Andy Chen and others that there is something strange
going on here when we have the high short position and then we get
these negative biased articles and so forth. I think what it is may
be the shorts are scared of getting squeezed. They're afraid of the
wide flucuations of this stock in the same way that the longs are. They
may be more afraid of that than they are of upcoming earnings. In other
words it is probably better to ignore all that than to try to figure
out that the shorts are out and out lying and secretly accumulating and
all that. They just want to get their negative views out every time the
stock shows some strength. You can see that in the timing of the
announcements. The longs do a little of that too as we have seen when the
stock fell before and the company had about a half dozen releases in one
day. This type of dueling propaganda could keep the stock from moving
much.

I have a question. I thought it was policy not to have press releases
within a certain number of days before earnings. With the NAB next
week does that mean there will not be any major announcements at that
time or do product announcements count?
