<And what recourse should be taken against those who say there is no global warming problem if they are wrong?>

How about burning them in boiling gasoline?

Seriously, though, this brings up a point which I saw on an environmental web page and would like to reiterate. We don't really have the luxury of time in being 100% certain that these changes that are happening are related to global warming, because if we wait that long, it is almost certain that it will be too late to fix them. 90% or 95% certain should be enough, particularly because there is no real downside to trying to achieve a clean and healthy environment.

We are essentially arguing between the future of mankind as a whole, and the right of huge companies and the superrich to continue to make their money at the expense of the environment, when in fact an environmental clean-up could also be quite profitable. It seems obscene to ruin the earth for profits, and yet that is exactly what is happening.
