>While the focus will be "TV-centric," it will go well beyond interactive advertising and Internet-over-TV, says Priddy<

Last week Samuels stated that, "Leo Hindery of AT&T has signed a distribution agreement with us". What I also find to be interesting is that Samuels repeatedly made the point that ACTV is the most "TV-centric" company out there not only from an individualized TV perspective but also in regards to HyperTV as well. Other companies are attempting convergence from either a hardware solution or from an Internet solution. ACTV is approaching convergence from a "TV-centric" solution. ACTV is also the company that is in the best situation to capitalize on the emotive power of TV in e-commerce and advertising through ITV and HyperTV. Its no accident that ACTV, AT&T, TUNE etc. all use the same buzz words.

Pete Boylan of TV Guide stated in response to my question of using
ACTV to enhance their Horse Racing Channel that they would be using all of ACTV's products across the board. AT&T is going to do the same. Look for Viacom and NBC to join the fold as well as Fox. AT&T will probably have an additional use for ACTV - education. Hindery has stated time and time again that he would love to use this type of technology to improve education in this country particularly among the poor. Sound familiar. There is only one way to do it right. AT&T thinks big.

There are only about 8 weeks left in this quarter. During that time HyperTV will launch.
