Actors in acceptance speeches (or anyone with a built-in audience -- including the "star" of the EIB network) have an enormous opportunity to move public opinion absent any respectable foundation for their opinions. This power, while having no effect on global warming, may have an unfortunate effect on the way the issue is viewed and what action is taken. Other problems were noted simply to suggest that effort to tidy up a known mess staring us in the face might be more useful than arguing about global warming. Glad I was able to help you connect the dots. :-) It's been suggested to me that inclusion of these little symbols may soften, what a first glance, might seem like a mean spirited remark. Im not convinced but thought I might experiment. BTW, your underwear post was a beautiful thing!
