pass, pass: Being a DSL engineer myself I think I know a few points. Although DSL is a losing technology limited by its physical drawback, DSL will be running second to cable in a few years. What I meant is DSL is not enough for AOL to lean on as its main broadband medium. I am not sure about DSL being reliable, but I am sure it's not as reachable as cable because of the distance constraint. Yes, cable is a sharing medium, but it's far cheaper for Cable companies to move fiber nodes closer to home to cure congestion than RBOCs building COs closer to homes. DSL is an expensive technology with lower bandwidth and leathal disadvantages, that's why they can only serve as a distant second to cable business. Wait a few years you have to agree with me, but it's better to know that early than otherwise. Let me emphasize: DSL is not on the same scale as Cable.

ATHM needs ATT as much as ATT needs ATHM. There are drawbacks with working for ATT, but the advantages of doing so far outweigh the drawbacks.
