Ron, This just in!
August 6, 1999
Dear Shareholder:
As you may be aware, effective August 1st, trading and quotes in American Interactive Media, Inc.'s stock were transferred from the OTC Bulletin Board to the National Quotation Bureau Pink Sheets.
This change occurred because companies that were listed on the OTC Bulletin Board, which is where micro-capitalization, emerging companies such as AIME were quoted, have been required to register their securities with the Securities & Exchange Commission and become full reporting companies to maintain their listing. (Compliance with the new rules was phased-in alphabetically beginning with "A".) Companies that did not achieve "full reporting" status by the phase-in date were moved to the Pink Sheets, a private quotation system run by the National Quotations Bureau. While AIME has filed a Registration Statement with the SEC, it has not yet become effective and, as a result, AIME was moved to the Pink Sheets on August 1st. The AIME stock price is quoted daily in the Pink Sheets; quotes can be obtained from your broker.
Many people, however, are under the misconception that shares listed on the Pink Sheets are not tradable. All of AIME's market makers (brokerage firms that made a market in our stock) are continuing to trade our stock. In addition, the National Quotations Bureau will be offering a real-time stock quote system for Pink Sheet-listed companies that is scheduled to become active on Monday, August 9, 1999. For more information on this service, check the National Quotations Bureau website at www.nqb.com.
Management is aggressively pursuing financing to continue its operations, and we are in discussion with several funding sources. Although management is optimistic, there are no assurances at this time that we will be successful in securing additional financing.
Operationally, AIME continues to successfully webcast live auctions three nights a week for Bid.Com. On ComedyNet, Scott Thompson (Kids in the Hall and The Larry Sanders Show) will launch his 26 episode series Scottland, with an appearance on the Conan O'Brien Show on August 10th. In addition, we plan "soft" launches for our CrimeBeat and RomanceLand websites in the fourth quarter of 1999.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call Dan Barsky, our General Counsel (212-539-0769).
Sincerely,
Mark Graff President & CEO |
