Art, no arguments here. The proposed MO drive sounds like an improved version of Sony's long-delayed 200MB megafloppy. It will be much larger than IBM's Microdrive and inherently less reliable. Spin-up times would likely be longer, drawing more power too. Unless they can produce the drive and media at prices competitive with IOM's ZIP and Sony's megafloppy, I don't see the point.
