Terrence, I think it would be more gentlemanly to argue rather than heckle..
Neocon, you are still fairly new here. Heckling is TB's raison d'etre. I cannot recall in hundreds of his posts a single one which was positive or supportive or kind. Every one is negative, destructive, insulting, heckling, or otherwise simply mean. In both senses of the word.
If you are like others of us you will play along for a while, gently chiding him (as you did here) when you think he steps too far over the edge. It hasn't changed him yet, and won't now. Eventually if you are like others you will PM him asking him why he feels the need to be so perpetually offensive. He will PM you back saying that he has a plan which he can't discuss but implying that he is only doing this because of some study he is doing or experiment he is conducting. Eventually if you are like the rest of us you will realise that this, to, is total BS and that he simply likes being negative and demeaning people.
Most (I could probably say all) of us here, including I, do from time to time fall into spells of putting people down or being negative, but we come out of it and return to a basically positive mood. TB never does; he wallows in negativism without respite. It is as though if he ever said anything nice to or about anybody he would instantly dissolve like the Wicked Witch when she came into contact with the cleansing effect of soap and water. That was the end of her.
Unfortunately, we haven't yet found the functional equivalent for Terrence. |
