It is this complacent sentiment that reflects the typical investor and will take them down. In other words, it is the critical mass public who believes the stock market always goes up, it is a continuation of an existing long term trend. The NAZ is already down 11% from the highs and nobody cares. That is because the DOW is only 4.4% off the high. If the DOW decides to break 10,410, which I believe it will, you will get peoples attention when the hail holy DOW closes below 10,000. Then watch the sinking feeling set in and permeate the mood of the investing public.
