Lets analyze my decision to prepare for Y2K and your decision ( I assume) not to. I've made this assumption because you have called me "a nut".

1) If I'm right and the grid goes down, my family has 6 months of water and food to survive.
2) If I'm wrong and everything remains beautiful, I lose nothing. The water and food I bought gets eaten by my family anyway. Financially speaking, I don't lose a penny here.
3) If your right you get to laugh in the faces of people who prepared for the possibility of a real crisis.
4) If your wrong and have not prepared somewhat, your possibly Dead.

So who's the dummy and who is nuts here?

PS It's not my purpose to educate you as to the risks associated with Y2K and all the different scenarios that may result. The Internet is filled with a tremendous amount of resources which addresses all these different tyes of scenarios, including the Polyanna one, which is not so great either.
