Hmm... Imagine what if the piano were designed by the folks who did QUERTY? :) Actually, Irving Berlin could only play in the key of C and had a special piano made using pedals to transpose the key.

QUERTY is a great example of sucky but standard. In the case of X though, the whole (pardon me) paradigm is on the way out. Still, I think it's interesting that Sun's new Corona thin client is dragging X along with Java. Perhaps that's merely for certain legacy apps, and will be gone altogether in a year's time. That'd be an interesting bet; to wager when thin client desktops abandon X altogether and become pure Java.

Can you throw a Java/Javabean angle on your product project?
Also, I don't remember reading the word CORBA in your wipepaper. Is it there?
