3Com-rades Thursday, March 27, 1997 11:47:20 PM EST Chain Store Age Executive, March 1997 3Com, Santa Clara, Calif., has allied itself with IBM and Cascade Communications in a joint effort to ease communications delays on the Internet and corporate Intranets. 3Com officials say the partners will work jointly on IP (Internet protocol) switching, a new technology that reduces the need for conventional routers.
