I figured that was it. I still can't believe that you can't spell-check a letter before sending it in OE without MS Office installed. The tab might not be in options, but the option to spell check would still be in the message composition toolbar. P.S. I wouldn't try that registry solution of yours. The nature of the shared data could have some adverse effects I wouldn't want to dream about. How far reaching those effects would be on a system load...I don't know. On some things it would simply give you an error message, and you could edit and delete the offending keys, otherwise it could fail to boot completely. Cheers, Rich
