yes, i thought of SMSC after i finished my prior post. With regards to INTC own NIC, i didn't know it has such a huge mkt share until it started the price war with COMS and people wrote about it. It seems that INTC's strategy is seeding *friends*, as opposed to being a *borg,* which leads me to think that it won't be a suitor for CSCC.
