Kemble: Re Pain post
Last Oct 20 Scott posted this statement from his companys CIO:

<<<I am confident that DELL will get our business and I was most impressed with the knowledge that their Midwestern Major Account Manager had. On Friday she is going to introduce me to a
number of DELL execs and possibly even Michael. Last night she also shared that DELL is currently selling 700 servers/day and quickly ramping up to sell 4000 servers/day. The server business is exceeding their HIGH expectations.>>>
That would amount to 120,000 servers per month, in the days of year 1 BT( before Tennessee). So what is their potential market when 20 times the existing no. of servers will be required in only a few short years?? And if the server estimate is true, how much added
storage will be required ??

Each of the new areas where Dell ventures has the same potential
for explosive growth. China, Brazil, E-commerce.And even the consumer market. If computer sales are up 35% in the US and Dell grows at multiples of the industry rate, that's over 70%
As you stated:
"the philosophy of DELL where they refuse to enter something until it is of the greatest opportunity to the shareholders"
Using math, TA,projections, and comparisons between companies in the same industry to establish a price estimate for Dell has not worked in the past and will probably not work in the future. I believe one can and should handle Dell stock in a manner that does not put a
a limit on the upside potential.
