O.K., that does it! At the risk of being battered myself, I am entering this barroom brawl! Chris and Terry, you are both treasured friends, even if neither of you can see why. Each of you has a great deal to say that is interesting and thought provoking, but neither of you is saying much that one can enjoy while you are engaged in throwing brickbats at each other. Moreover, you have both gone way over the line of debate and even of roughhousing. You have been saying terrible things to and about each other, things that are not only not true or fair but also reflect poorly on both of you for saying them. They are also things that both of you will have trouble putting behind you. Look, I can enjoy a good tussle any day, but this has gone altogether too far. Please stop this viciousness now, I ask you as two people whom I have learned to respect.
