I can see how it will happen:
1. Intel announces benchmarks showing rambus systems are faster but not pointing out that their comparison is based on the slower CL3 sdrams.
2. OEMs and independents benchmark Coppermine+Camino+Rambus vs Coppermine+Via+sdram and discover that the rambus system is faster but not pointing out that Via's Apollo Pro133 chip set is slow due to its internal design.

But the big question remains whether Intel will stick with rambus do-or-die or announces sdram chip set support do to availability issues. And I wonder if the answer will leak?
