I think one of the more interesting questions in this race is why the esteemed Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan would support Hillary in this race.

Newly-released files suggest an answer. It appears that in this past Senate term, Moynihan increasingly succumbed to the temptations of Demon Rum, making it difficult for him even to appear on the Senate floor to cast his vote. A proud man who has rendered distinguished service, Moynihan was fearful of his legacy if this incapacity became widely known, and the Clintons knew it.

Instead of strong-arming Moynihan, however, they curried favor with him by instructing the CIA to construct a Moynihan automaton that looked, sounded and voted like Moynihan, and who appeared on the Senate floor whenever the real (human) Moynihan was too in his cups to fulfill his duties. Although the robot (dubbed, "Moynihan.com" by jocular CIA operatives), spoke in halting electronic sentences, moved stiffly and had a glazed look in its eyes, this was close enough to the appearance and behavior of the real Moynihan that none of his Senate colleagues noticed anything out of the ordinary.

Of course, the files on this are held by Hillary, thus ensuring the real Senator's ebullient endorsement. I'm no conspiracy theorist, but these background facts do fill in a few gaps in our understanding.
