Re. VDMA-- you are not looking at a mini-QCOM by any
stretch of imagination. You are looking at a scam.
The scheme consisting in using users handsets to form
a mesh-based connection network is preposterous. Users
will not waste their battery power in this manner, and
there is absolutely no guarantee the user density would
be enough to make the scheme reliable. Please read the
posts on the Last Mile thread which have dissected VDMA.

Finally, the idea of using mesh-based networks for
fixed wireless applications is not new-- look at Rooftop
and Triton Systems. So, there is nothing in VDMA
that would be worth licensing. It is just a catchy acronym
aimed at attracting gullible investors.
