I did a search on pacemakers and found: largnet.uwo.ca It mentions that most pacemakers are implanted into the body. I do not think it would be possible to retrieve data from these units while inside the body. The external ones can be swapped out with another unit while data is being retrieved for analysis. I also did a search of the computer risks forum that talks about matters like this, and found these risks for pacemaker users: catless.ncl.ac.uk catless.ncl.ac.uk This is an old one from 1989 that sort of touches on the topic: catless.ncl.ac.uk Hope this helps.
