Preferences should be stored on the SI servers, not in cookies. Many people erase their cookies often for privacy issues. It is too much to ask to sort through them to erase all but certain cookies.

Still more people use many different computers (at work / school), which they don't already have the cookies on, or which they don't wish cookies to be on. The amount of time Americans spend playing on the internet, while at work, in one month probably eclipses all the sick time for the whole year. This will be a HUGE issue in the coming years. Better to cover your tracks.

Another issue is with telecommuting. When you use your home pc, your cookies are available to the same nazis that test your urine at work. Do you really want those pigs to know you've been patronizing communisttransvestiteteendopefiends.com ? (or you wife or kids?)

Hating the new SI more by the minute, and no matter what you think of beta, reading this thread proves that at this time beta is an outright fiasco.

Is anyone on here getting paid for their valuable testing time and feedback? Last I checked, I was paying SI.
