Well that comparison was used with island only ,but when it is used with the other ecns that usually charge a higher pass through fee than islands 1 dollar fee,the competitions cost is usually higher. Look at arca,most firms charge a passthrough fee if the arca trade is routed through an ecn or mm other than arca and this is on example where i like the no charge on ecn pass through fees that mbtrading has to offer. I guess its all relative to what vehicle a daytrader uses to make his trades with.
