Well, one of the board's whipping boys has joined the club. Dan Niles has upgraded DELL from a neutral to a long term attractive. He had downgraded the stock from attractive to neutral on 15 Dec 97, when the stock was a little under $11, though, so his track record isn't exactly stellar. This probably means that earnings and revenues for the recent July quarter are solid, as Niles has always had a pretty good handle on that kind of short term indicator. AS far as long term performance of DELL is concerned, though, his opinion is pretty irrelevant, as most on this board already know.
