Re: what you said about contention on the thread, I wonder how much of it has to do with the fact that someone(in all sincerity) can post a statement of their belief with scriptures to back it up, and the next guy sees that as direct conflict to his own thoughts and belief

At that point, no matter how nice, the reply post may sound contentious. What do you think?
