We were not- I think- labeling the movies "bad" or "good". Again, that is your twist on what we were saying. I was merely saying what I enjoy, and what I think is more palatable to my psyche. I do not like tragedies. I have said that many many times. It isn't because there aren't good tragedies, but that "cathartic" feeling that is supposed to be so good for you, doesn't happen for me.

Penni said this too. She did not disagree that some disturbing things were not well done or even beautiful she just doesn't want to see them. Speaking only for myself I rarely find tragedy noble- or course it depends on the tragedy- but I usually find tragedy sad, pointless, and depressing. I prefer to watch, for my entertainment, a better, nobler world (without huge tragedies in it) and if I can't watch that, then I want satire or humor or at least great period costumes.
