I thought you'd like to read it, td, <gg>, and find time to object it. Therefore I pointed the citation out. It is not, however, my story, I didn't write it.
However I believe the Frenchman in this story should not be ridiculed too much. As I took it the kosovan lady chose to fight him, and it was his duty to prevent her from having her way. Also he should be thought guilty of ignorance rather than arrogance. His usage of 'Texas' indicates he has never been there (you, td, however, have been in France or at least Spain already); rather he uses it as a mythical place. I would be surprised if real world Texas was Kosovo-like even at the era that is used as a background for the mentioned dime novels. What is your take on this?
