I'm trying to keep a close look into FTTH trial such as Palo Alto and Stockholm's Stokab, to gauge the fiber possibilities.

The 3% number is from an ADSL vendor's perspective. I agree, we have the burden of disproving it. I will dig more on that and will share with the thread.

FOr comparision sake: Look for instance this posting of that mentions: "In the U.S. wireless currently reaches only 20% of the territory; at least 45% of the U.S. will never be economically served by wireless;.." This is a competing technology (Satellite) perspective. Perhaps MOT or ERICY have a different set of numbers. I think we should continue posting those numbers here so that different technologies' perspective competing in the Last Mile would shed more light on the whole scheme of things.
