Sam: The Fed. wants to engineer a softie here by slowing down the economy. Once the economy slows or the bond market is convinced inflation is in check and the economy is not growing like wild fire, the bonds will rally IMO. I think this would happen most likely around the Fed. tightening on August 24th. Could yields go higher? Yes, but bottom line this is a good deal long term. Imagine, 6.7% risk free in Ginnie.
