Echostar Communications Corporation Nets 113,000 Customers in July 1999
DISH Network Continues Record Customer Growth
LITTLETON, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 9, 1999--EchoStar Communications Corporation (Nasdaq:DISH - news,DISHP - news) announced today it added approximately 113,000 net new DISH Network(TM) customers in July 1999. The additions bring DISH Network's total customer base to 2,710,000.
This marks the tenth consecutive month DISH Network has achieved customer growth of over 100,000 net additions. For the first seven months of 1999, DISH Network has added 770,000 net subscribers, an increase of 86 percent over the first seven months of 1998. DISH Network's additional 113,000 customers in July 1999 is a 55 percent increase over the 73,000 added in July 1998.
