I agree. If Zenith does it right the advertising for NetVision...
should be very explosive for shareholders. I've made up my mind, I'm buying one. Ironically, I bought a Zenith 27" televison about 2 years ago that's in my living room and a Zenith 25" that I put in an office room. I bought them because I new the name and the price WAS VERY CHEAP! The picture was just as good as a Sony model and cost me about $400 versus $550. I haven't had any problems. I'll put the NetVision in my living room and the 27" in my bedroom. No more watching TV in the living room!
I found some information today regarding CAI Wireless because of the POSSIBLE connection to Zenith's move the other day, it's from the Motely Fools - fool.web.aol.com
They mention that CAI will have pressure from cable companies and "U.S. Robotics/Zenith product with the telco 'upstream' could also be deployed *now*, meaning that CAI Wireless could actually not even be the first to offer this kind of high-speed access that overcomes the much ballyhooed ISDN."
I left a message with Investor Relations this morning, I had no choice. They should call back today or Monday. I want to know why they don't have a web page, how the Orlando show went, when they plan on shipping NetVision, when they plan on advertising, when they plan of shipping U.S. Robotics/Zenith modems, how is business, when are you reporting 2nd quarter (July what?), and when is your next NetVision demo and are you going to COMDEX (Why Not?)?????
Did I miss anything guys? I want to know what news or event will move the stock!
Talking about COMDEX, I listed them on Reply #177 with the other June cable conferences. I have no idea if Zenith is going, BUT I WOULD BE REALLY PISSED IF THEY DIDN'T! THAT WOULD BE A STUPID DECISION!
If they are there, Zenith will rock the show!
P.S. If Zenith can sell 500,000 27" NetVision models in 1997 at $999, that will bring in an additional $500,000,000 that they might not have sold. Maybe 100,000-200,000 in North America and rest in Asia and Europe.
