Ron, I have so little to add here. I just read through the thread, and there is a lot of valuable insight here. Compared to most on this thread I am a fairly new investor. i have not let this situation get me down, but then that is easy because eventhough I lost a lot of money this week, my largest holding was PFG, which even though it dropped still is a triple for me.(it is called softening the blow) I think more then ever now the people behind a company are the key, and maybe on SI we should devote more time looking at them. I can't help but think that there is money to be made following those with a proven trackrecord, specially in light of what just happened. Another thing to think about is that if you are a major , and you are thinking of a takeover (Bema gold would have to be on a lot of majors shoppinglists for instance) , the timing now is perfect. The events of the last week should devaluate every prospect and make shareholders more willing to aprove a sale then ever. I hope that those investors that have entered the market in the last few years don't get discouraged by what took place. There is and will always be money to be made, but it takes work. I was mostly on the bying side this week , some great deals out there, IPJ and PFG being my favorites at these prices.
All the best,
Robert
